First Month Pregnancy Symptoms

Very early signs of pregnancy 1 week| How does your stomach feel when your pregnant first month| What part of your stomach hurts in early pregnancy| First month pregnancy diet| First month pregnancy care

Hi Girls, entering into motherhood journey is a whole new world to experience, about which we have always heard or seen but never experienced in personal . When we make our mind to have a baby and try for it , we start looking for answers like how will I actually know that now I am pregnant ? from which week can i assume pregnancy symptoms to show up ? how soon after conception can i get pregnant etc .

Don’t worry, we all are on the same pace! And that is why I am here to help you out by sharing small moments from my first month pregnancy .

So, firstly we will talk about “What to expect in first trimester of Pregnancy”?

  • A  missed period (often one of the first signs of pregnancy) – If you find out that you have passed your due date of period , then there could be a chance that you are pregnant . But, doctors suggest to wait for atleast 4-5 days after your due date to go for a home pregnancy kit as before this you may get a false negative test result .
  • A metallic taste in mouth –If you are experiencing  a sudden change of taste in your mouth which could be very similar to that of eating any metallic thing , like for me i was experiencing a bittery taste in my mouth this could be a sign that you are pregnant.
  • Bloating or Nausea –You may feel your lower tummy a little bloated or you may feel morning sickness ,a sudden aversion to any strong smell which may make you feel sometimes like vomiting .
  • Sore Breasts- You may suddenly notice that the area around your nipple is changing colour and is little darker than usual, breast may feel little heavy , also you may experience discomfort or little pain in breasts like while changing clothes or taking a shower.
  • Light Cramping but no bleeding– You may experience some light cramps in your lower belly similar to those period cramps but less painful . These will come occasionally and will lasts for a shorter duration of time unlike to those period cramps which are more painful and occur continuously.
  • Tweezing,Stretching or Pulling sensation in lower belly-You may sometimes feel a stretchy sensation like some muscles are being pulled in your stomach . Don’t worry it is just your uterus is expanding and preparing itself to make more space for the little one .

So, girls if you are experiencing any of these symptoms mentioned above , do not panic ...it is very normal as your body is preparing itself for a new journey , and all your pregnancy hormones have started working towards it !

Once you have crossed 4-5 days after your due date of period, do take a home pregnancy test because by this time body has produces enough HCG hormones in blood to be detected on the pregnancy strip. If you get positive result then Congratulations ! in advance and if not , don’t be disappointed and just wait a little more like a couple of days ,till then if you do not get your period then do the pregnancy test again. This time you will get the accurate results .

Whatever you get in your results, consult your doctor accordingly !

Now,let’s take the scenario that you are pregnant, the question then arises is what to do next . It is absolutely nothing special that you have to do, trust me just visit your doctor once she will start some regular medicines like folic acid etc and will suggest you take appropriate care till your next visit to doctor.

Few things which my doctor suggested me are as below:

1.Intake a lot of water – Stay hydrated all the time , the baby in your uterus has begun to grow and while in the womb the baby floats in amniotic fluid so it requires you to consume a lot of water.

2.Eat small frequent meals – No, it doesn’t mean that you have to eat a lot , just take care that you are not hungry or empty stomach for more than 2 hours . Have a little snack in every 2 hours ...you can have fruits, biscuits, juices anything you like .

3.Avoid wearing high heels or running fast on stairs – Mama, this is the time you need to pamper yourself as now you are not the only one , your little one is very weak at this stage and requires some extra care .Make sure you do not do any activity which causes much movement in your belly.

4.Heavy exercise or aggressive sex- Avoid anything which can cause pressure at your abdomen area , ask your doctor for all the yoga positions which are safe during this time .

5.Most importantly – “Do Not Take Stress”, today’s lifestyle has made it very difficult for us to stay calm and happy all the time as mostly all of us are working women and the environment itself brings some negative thoughts and stress to us . But, taking stress at this time is harmful to the growing baby at this very early phase of life .

So Girls, this is how my experience of first month of pregnancy ends ! and trust me till now it has been a very smooth journey for me . I will be able to see my baby in the ultrasound which will be performed in the 3rd week of second month . Looking forward towards it , will come again soon and share my experience of first ultrasound , the size of baby in second month and all my experiences till there.

See You Then,

Bye !
